How much experience do I need?
This event is appropriate for all skill levels. We have tracks and activities for all abilities. Choose the track to suit your experience level. You can choose from cruiser, balanced and skilled.
What kind of motorcycle do I need?
You can bring any motorcycle as long as it is fitted with at least 30% enduro tread tyres. Bikes completing our intermediate routes must have suitable suspension and clearance. If you are a beginner, we recommend bringing a light adventure bike or dirt bike, and if you are an advanced dirt rider, we recommend you bring a heavy adventure bike.
How old do I need to be?
To ride in our Navigation Challenge at this event you need to have your motorcycle licence, as the tracks are run on crown land. This means you need to be over 18 years of age. However, we have activities on-site that you can participate in such as our kids course, barrel race and enduro course. All minors must be accompanied by an adult while riding at all times.
Do I need a licence?
Yes you must have a motorcycle licence to ride in this event. The tracks are run on crown land and as per normal road regulations you will need to be licensed.
Is recreational registration OK at this event?
No recreational registration is not accepted in NSW
Can I attend as a spectator?
Certainly, we have day passes and weekend passes available for spectators. You will not be able to ride in the event but you can watch the activities and interact with our trade stalls.
What kind of equipment do I need?
You will need a mobile phone or tablet attached to your handlebars to navigate. If you anticipate completing all three routes you will need a USB charger, or chargeable battery pack to ensure you maintain phone battery. You will need a camel pack or backpack to carry water during your ride, your bike needs to be fitted with enduro/off-road tyres and you need to bring spare tubes, a small tool kit and tyre levers.

What happens if I get lost?
In case you can't find your way back with Google or offline maps, we have your details, including the time you checked out. If you are unable to relay your location to use due to no service, we have a recovery team and will begin looking for you if you have been out on a track for longer than usual.
What happens if I break down?
If you break down, when it is safe to do so, move your motorcycle so it does not obscure the track. Stand in a safe position on the side of the road and flag down another rider for assistance as they may be able to transport you to a manned checkpoint or get help. Alternatively, if you have reception, you can message our recovery team on Discord. Please do not wave our sweep riders on if you need assistance. Be clear that you need help so that we can assist you. When it is safe to do so, we will help you retrieve your motorcycle and you can try repairing it at camp.
